COPYWRITING is one activity I find thrilling and fulfilling. If you love to write, you should consider copywriting as a career. There is no particular university programme or professional qualification that you must obtain to join the field.
When I first started, I was in my final year of my degree programme. While I dropped out of the programme, I managed to make a living with copywriting. I love to write, but I am unable to come up with a creative prose or plot. I love word play, but I must rely on something I can study.
While I was in university, I share a room with a budding author. Inspired by that, I began by reading Getting Started As A Freelance Writer: Expanded Edition by Robert Bly. As I began researching the field, I read more books and articles. In the beginning, I was between lost and being overwhelmed - or simultaneously both!
What I aim to do with this blog is to share and record my experiences. I believe in the power of intellectual property and shared advise. Now here's the catch: my copywriting journey might greatly differ from yours. Circumstances are different. Times are different. Personalities are different. What I think is important is that you get grasp of the fundamentals. And then, you chart your journey.
Thus, all the best!
